The person behind Coastal Paws Pet Care

When I was just 14 years old, I started my own dog-walking and pet-care business in my neighborhood. I was knocking on doors, meeting families, walking their dogs, and taking responsibility for pets that people trusted me with.

Even at that age, I understood that caring for someone's dog was about much more than simply taking them around the block. People were trusting me with a member of their family, and I took that responsibility seriously.

Those early experiences taught me lessons that have stayed with me ever since — responsibility, reliability, patience, communication, and the importance of earning someone's trust.

Years later, that same passion eventually became Coastal Paws Pet Care.

My own dog, Daisy, is a Staffordshire Terrier and Labrador mix rescue, and she's one of the biggest reasons I continue to love what I do.

Daisy has taught me a lot about dogs and their individual personalities. She's reminded me that every dog has their own way of communicating, their own comfort level, and their own needs.

She has also taught me that sometimes the best thing you can give a dog is simply patience, understanding, and time.

She's not just my dog — she's my best friend and a big part of the heart behind Coastal Paws.

Over the years, I've become comfortable caring for animals of different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities.

I've cared for energetic puppies who need plenty of exercise and attention, relaxed seniors who prefer a slower pace, and pets who need additional care and consistency because of their individual needs.

I'm also experienced with pets who have daily medications, special diets, specific routines, or other care requirements.

And my experience isn't limited to dogs and cats. I've also cared for chickens, giving them the same attentive and dependable care that I provide to every animal entrusted to me.

I understand that every animal is different. What works for one pet may not work for another, and I take the time to learn what makes your pet comfortable.

One of the things I love most about in-home pet care is that your pets don't have to leave the environment they know.

When you're away, I come to them.

They get to stay in their own home, sleep in their own beds, eat their normal food, follow their normal routine, and enjoy the surroundings they're already comfortable with.

Whether it's a dog walk, drop-in visit, feeding, medication, playtime and enrichment, pet sitting, or simply spending some quality time with your pet, my goal is to make your time away as easy on them as possible.

Leaving your pets with someone isn't always easy.

They're family. And when you're away, you want to know that the person caring for them is actually paying attention — not just checking a box and moving on to the next visit.

That's why communication is an important part of Coastal Paws.

You'll receive photo updates and check-ins while you're away, so you can see your pet, know how they're doing, and feel connected even when you can't be there.

My goal isn't just to care for your pet. It's to give you peace of mind, too.

To me, Coastal Paws Pet Care is personal.

I've been caring for animals since I was a teenager. What started with my first small business at 14 eventually grew into the business I have today.

I know that when a pet parent hands me a leash, gives me a key to their home, or trusts me with medication, special instructions, or the care of their animals, they're trusting me with something incredibly important.

I'm grateful for that trust, and I don't take it lightly.

I want every animal I care for to feel safe, respected, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while their family is away.

And I want every pet parent to feel confident knowing their furry — or feathered — family member is in good hands.
